Shift Manager

AeroSports Oakville - Mississauga

About the role

Aerosports Parks is seeking a hands-on, dependable, and motivated Shift Manager to lead day-to-day park operations.

The Shift Manager is responsible for running a safe, organized, productive, and guest-focused shift while actively leading the team and supporting the park’s sales and operational goals.

This is a floor-leadership position. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the shift rather than simply supervising it, someone who notices problems, takes initiative, coaches employees in real time, engages with guests, and follows through.

If you enjoy leading from the floor, developing people, solving problems, and taking ownership of results, we want to hear from you.

What you'll do

  • Lead day-to-day park operations during assigned shifts
  • Supervise and coordinate Team Members across attractions, front desk, concessions, and parties
  • Ensure attractions are properly staffed, supervised, and operated according to safety procedures
  • Continuously monitor the park floor and address safety, cleanliness, staffing, and operational issues
  • Coach Team Members on performance, productivity, guest interaction, safety, and sales
  • Keep employees engaged and productive throughout their shifts
  • Handle guest concerns, complaints, and escalations professionally
  • Oversee birthday parties, group bookings, and special events to ensure smooth execution
  • Monitor POS operations, cash handling, and till accuracy
  • Support sales goals through upselling, promotions, birthday bookings, group opportunities, and guest retention
  • Identify opportunities to generate birthday, group, corporate, and future-visit leads
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies and ensure required reports are completed
  • Identify and report maintenance or equipment concerns and ensure proper follow-up
  • Ensure opening, closing, cleaning, and operational checklists are completed correctly
  • Provide clear shift updates to management, including staffing, sales, incidents, maintenance concerns, and outstanding follow-ups
  • Hold Team Members accountable to company policies, safety procedures, attendance, uniform, and performance expectations

What we're looking for

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality, entertainment, recreation, retail, restaurants, or another customer-facing environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the confidence to coach and hold employees accountable
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions without constant direction
  • Sales-minded and comfortable encouraging the team to identify revenue opportunities
  • Comfortable handling POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and basic sales reporting
  • Able to remain calm and make decisions during busy periods, incidents, and guest escalations
  • Reliable, punctual, and accountable
  • Comfortable working in a loud, active, fast-paced environment
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods
  • Able to remain active and on your feet throughout the shift
